Murray Eisnor was born in Martin's River, Nova Scotia. He worked as a freight handler for most of his life on the Halifax Water Front and CanExel, East River. He was a quiet man who enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved the outdoors and animals.Many of the members of Murray's family were artists and woodcarvers and the most well known was his older brother Elmer who lived down the road. Murray carved speckled fish, seagulls, blue jays, penguins and pretty yellow birds with spotted wings. He painted his carvings with glossy left over house paint and displayed them on a table at the side of the road near his house.
