Along with his brothers Medard and Jean-Julien, Andre Bourgault is considered one of the finest Quebec carvers of the 20th century. His work included both religious and secular themes, and can be found in collections throughout North America and Europe including the permanent collections of the National Gallery of Canada and the Canadian Museum of History. A museum devoted solely to the works of the Bourgault family has been established in St. Jean Port Joli, Quebec.
